Xinhecheng: 7000 Tons/year Polyphenylene Sulfide Test Run, Adiponitrile Project Pilot Test
A few days ago, Zhejiang Xinhecheng Co., Ltd. stated in its semi-annual financial report for 2022 that the company's third-phase project with an annual output of 7,000 tons of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) has begun the trial run, and the adiponitrile project is now in the pilot stage!
Xinhecheng Polyphenylene Sulfide Project - R&D Internationalization
In 2012, Xinhecheng has begun to deploy new material construction projects of 30,000 tons/year fiber-grade polyphenylene sulfide and 20,000 tons/year composite polyphenylene sulfide.
In 2014, the first phase of the project (5,000 tons/year fiber-grade polyphenylene sulfide, 6,000 tons/year compound polyphenylene sulfide) has passed the inspection and acceptance of Zhejiang Environmental Protection Department;
In 2018, the second phase of the project (10,000 tons/year fiber-grade polyphenylene sulfide) was completed and put into trial operation.
The third phase of the project was originally 15,000 tons/year of fiber-grade polyphenylene sulfide and 14,000 tons/year of composite polyphenylene sulfide, and now it is 7,000 tons/year of polyphenylene sulfide.
Hu Bozhen, chairman of Xinhecheng, introduced that in the internationalization of polyphenylene sulfide research and development, the company cooperated with Runtu to produce polymer raw materials and realized resource sharing. Integration of market and application technologies. At the same time, the company cooperated with Japan's Toyobo to develop polyphenylene sulfide fiber, realizing cross-industry technological innovation. At present, Xinhecheng has built a whole industrial chain in the field of polyphenylene sulfide, from basic raw materials to high-molecular polymers, to modified processing and special fibers, and the core competitiveness of polyphenylene sulfide products has been in a leading position.
Xinhecheng adiponitrile project - raw material advantage
In May 2022, the high-end nylon and high-end optical-grade material projects of Shandong Xinhecheng Refinery Technology Co., Ltd. conducted the first information announcement. The total investment of the project is 4.2 billion yuan, and it will be built with an annual output of 200,000 tons/year of nylon 66, 100,000 tons/year of adiponitrile, 100,000 tons/year of hexamethylene diamine, and 12,700 tons/year of methylglutaronitrile; 40,000 tons/year of methylglutaronitrile; The production capacity of ton/year polymethyl methacrylate, 40,000 tons/year methyl methacrylate and 42,000 tons/year methyl propionate.
Xinhecheng said on the investor interactive platform on May 25 that the company's adiponitrile project is in the pilot test, and the company will expand production according to the pilot test. The pilot-scale project is located in Weifang Binhai Economic and Technological Development Zone. The subsidiary Shandong Xinhecheng Amino Acid Co., Ltd. will build a 110-ton/year adiponitrile pilot-scale project using the butadiene method.
Since 2013, Xinhecheng has begun to deploy a methionine project with an annual output of 250,000 tons, and in 2020, it will start to build a supporting project for the methionine project. The company's EIA report shows that after the project is completed, the entire production line of hydrocyanic acid will be independently produced. At the same time, the raw material required for the production of adiponitrile, which is still in the blank of production capacity in my country, is also hydrocyanic acid. By then, the company's self-produced hydrocyanic acid will provide sufficient raw materials for methionine and adiponitrile.
