Normal temperature can react:

1: Incantant response: ClCH2Cooh+NaOH u003d ClCH2COONA (sodium chloride)+H2O (water), slowly add low concentration of sodium hydroxide solution to the chloroacetic acid water solution,Molecular ratio 1: 0.8 ~ 1

2, fully react: clCh2Cooh+2NAOH u003d Hoch2Coona+NaCl+H2O, sodium hydroxide solution in the chloride solution, a molecular ratio 1: 1 ~ 2 (or greater than 2)

3, side reaction: clCh2Cooh+2NAOH+HOCH2COONA u003d Naooch2och2coona+NaCl+H2O

The reaction is severe and has a side reaction. It may generate hydroxyl acetic acid in the aqueous solution. If you want sodium chloride, it is best to drop sodium hydroxide in the chloride solution to control the temperature.
