I just did. Not sure why you’d even wonder if that was an issue, unless it was a topical one that could wash off.

It takes awhile for the antibiotics to do their job. You really have to take them as directed for them to do their best.

That being said, after you have finished the prescription, you should see your doctor for a follow up. Because of anti-biotic resistance, you may need a stronger regimen of drugs.

Water soluble vitamins are excreted into your urine. Not only does this give your urine a strange multivitamin pill odor. Extra vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) can give it a strong odor. Too much vitamin B1 (thiamine) can make your pee smell like fish.

No, in fact it may make things worse if you get diarrhea. Taking antibiotics long term encourages resistance and bad bowel infections

ANSWER: WHY are you asking us strangers on the internet instead of your doctors, who actually know you? Our collective second opinions are worth less than your bloody stool is, literally!

Because some antibiotics like Amoxycillin and Ampicillin are Penicllin derivates, which is derived from mold, and mold makes your urine stink

drinking plenty of water throughout the day can ease the smell

Hello. I have read all the previous answers. The truth is that with certain higher doses of some antibiotics do make you smell like the antibiotics you are taking. You are the only one who can smell it. Some antibiotics are designed to get to your sinuses and fight infection. But these same drugs are used for other infections as well. So yes you can smell the antibiotics you are taking. I hope this helps?

Antibiotics kill bacteria…it is likely that the foul smells were caused by a bacterial infection.

I ended up getting 2 courses of antibiotics before it went away. I waited 3 or 4 days & called the doctor back.

Try repopulating your gut with probiotic drinks or yoghurt. Antibiotics kill all the good bacteria that are living in your gut and need replacing.
