Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis in adults caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae or Haemophilus influenzae. 4. Intestinal infections and Shigella infections caused by sensitive strains of Shigella flexneri or Shigella sonnei. 5. This product is the first choice for the treatment of Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia. 6.
