enteritis
Enteritis is gastroenteritis, enteritis and colitis caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites. Clinical manifestations include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, watery stools or mucus, pus and blood in stools. Some patients may have fever and a feeling of tenesmus, so it is also called infectious diarrhea. Enteritis is divided into two categories: acute and chronic according to the length of the course of the disease. The course of chronic enteritis is generally more than two months. Common clinical cases include chronic bacillary dysentery, chronic amoebic dysentery, schistosomiasis, nonspecific ulcerative colitis and localized enteritis. Enteritis is extremely common, with about 3 to 5 billion cases worldwide each year, especially in developing countries where the incidence and mortality rates are high, especially in children. According to statistics from the World Health Organization, in developing countries, infectious diarrhea is the infectious disease with the highest incidence among children, with a mortality rate of about 20%. In Asia, Africa and Latin America alone, about 4.6 million infants and young children die each year.
