Side pain is a liver and gallbladder disease with pain in the ribs as the main manifestation. For example, "Yi Zong Jin Jian·Volume 89" clearly points out: "The two sides from the axilla to the end of the ribs are collectively called side." "Yi Fang Kao·Side Pain" also says: "The side is the area of the liver and gallbladder." The liver and gallbladder meridians are distributed in the two sides, so "side" now refers to the lower chest ribs and rib margins on both sides, where the liver, gallbladder and pancreas are located. Side pain is a common symptom of liver and gallbladder diseases. Many clinical symptoms are judged as liver and gallbladder diseases or diseases related to the liver and gallbladder based on side pain.
