Myeloperitoneal anemia
Myeloplastic anemia is anemia caused by infiltration and replacement of normal bone marrow by abnormal or non-hematopoietic cells. This type of anemia is characterized by the presence of normal pigmented, unevenly sized red blood cells, atypical red blood cells and nucleated red blood cells, and immature granulocytes on the blood smear. These changes may occur when the bone marrow is replaced by infiltrating cancer, granulomatous or lipid deposition lesions, or when the bone marrow undergoes fibrosis.
