Congenital spontaneously healing Langerhans' histiocytosis
Congenital Self-Healing Langerhans Histiocytosis (CSLH), also known as Congenital self-healing reticulohistiocytosis, was reported by Hashimoto and Pritzker in 1973, so it is also called Hashimoto-Pritzker disease. It is self-limited and benign, with only skin lesions but no systemic damage. Its skin lesion characteristics and histopathological appearance are actually similar to those of Langerhans cell histiocytosis. Immunohistochemical examination of S-100 protein and CDIa (OKT6) are also positive, and Birbeck granules can also be seen in ultramicroscopic examination. Therefore, some people classify this disease as the most benign type in the spectrum of Langerhans histiocytosis.
