Chronic rhinitis
Chronic rhinitis is a chronic inflammation of the nasal mucosa and submucosal layer. Chronic congestion and swelling of the nasal mucosa is called chronic simple rhinitis. If it develops into hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the nasal mucosa and nasal turbinates, it is called chronic hypertrophic rhinitis. If the nasal mucosa is dark red, the surface is dry and dull, and there are filamentous secretions in the nasal passages, it is called chronic dry rhinitis.
