Dercum’s disease
Adiposis dolorosa is a rare autonomic nervous system disease of unknown etiology, characterized by abnormal accumulation of subcutaneous fat in certain parts of the body, accompanied by spontaneous pain in these parts. The disease was first described by Dercum (1892), so it is also called Dercum’s disease.
