Hypoparathyroidism
Hypoparathyroidism (abbreviated as hypoparathyroidism) is a clinical syndrome characterized by decreased secretion and/or dysfunction of parathyroid hormone (PTH). Common clinical hypoparathyroidism includes idiopathic hypoparathyroidism, secondary hypoparathyroidism, hypomagnesemic hypoparathyroidism and neonatal hypoparathyroidism. Other rare types include pseudohypoparathyroidism, pseudo-pseudohypoparathyroidism and pseudoidiopathic hypoparathyroidism.
