Osteochondroma in children
Osteochondroma, also known as exostosis, is the most common benign bone tumor in children. The tumor is usually located in the bone cortex on one side of the metaphysis and grows toward the bone surface. It can be divided into single and multiple osteochondromas. The latter has a genetic tendency and affects the development of the epiphysis or causes limb deformities, which is called multiple hereditary osteochondromatosis, or diaphyseal continuity.
