Diffuse intramural esophageal diverticula
Diffuse intramural esophageal diverticula are very rare benign lesions. Mendl et al. (1960) first described this disease. The disease is characterized by multiple diffusely distributed 1-3 mm protruding cysts in the esophageal wall, which are accompanied by esophageal inflammation, fibrosis and wall thickening.
