Gitlin syndrome
The lesion gene of Gitlin syndrome is located on chromosome X, which is a sex-linked recessive severe combined immunodeficiency disease. The pathogenesis is still unclear. Most patients are males, and they are prone to upper respiratory tract infections, otitis media, pyoderma, mucocutaneous candidiasis and viral infections. Diagnosis depends on genetic investigation and X chromosome examination. For treatment, see severe combined immunodeficiency disease. Most children die in infancy, but their survival period is longer than that of severe combined immunodeficiency disease.
