Thyroid tuberculosis
Thyroid tuberculosis, also known as tuberculous thyroiditis, is a chronic inflammatory disease of the thyroid gland. This disease is more common in young and middle-aged patients aged 20 to 50, and can also occur in children, with a male-to-female ratio of about 1:3 to 1:4. It is extremely rare in clinical practice and is easily misdiagnosed.
