Tardive dyskinesia (TD), also known as delayed hyperactivity and persistent movement disorder, is induced by antipsychotic drugs and is a persistent, stereotyped, repetitive involuntary movement. Crane (1968) first proposed that it is the most serious and difficult extrapyramidal reaction caused by antipsychotic drug treatment, and the incidence rate is quite high. The most common ones are caused by phenothiazines and butyrophenones. The incidence rate of oral common antipsychotics is 20% to 40%, and the incidence rate of long-acting antipsychotics is about 50%.
