Hereditary methemoglobinemia
Methemoglobin (MetHb) is produced by red blood cells due to genetic factors or after absorbing toxic compounds. When its content exceeds a certain level, it can cause methemoglobinemia, which is divided into two categories: acquired and hereditary.
