Balanitis is the combined name of balanoposthitis and balanoposthitis. It is the disease with the highest incidence of glans penis and foreskin. The vast majority of patients are young and middle-aged, and it is easy to relapse and difficult to cure. It is generally divided into infectious or non-infectious. Infectious is more common in clinical practice, often caused by unclean sexual intercourse, infection with Candida albicans, Trichomonas, Mycoplasma and other bacteria. Non-infectious almost all have phimosis or excessive foreskin. Between the excessively long inner plate of the foreskin and the glans penis, the desquamated epithelial cells, glandular secretions and smegma bacteria together form a warm and humid environment, which is easy to produce bacteria and stimulate local foreskin and mucosa inflammation. Common symptoms are erythema or small papules on the glans penis, or redness, swelling, congestion, and secretions in the foreskin, often accompanied by a foul odor. It can affect urination and cause urination pain.
