Pelvic congestion syndrome
Pelvic congestion syndrome is a unique disease caused by chronic poor pelvic venous blood outflow, pelvic venous filling, and congestion. Its clinical characteristics are "three pains, two more and one less", namely pelvic pain, low back pain, sexual intercourse pain, heavy menstruation, more leucorrhea, and few positive signs in gynecological examinations. Clinically, it is found that the severity of this disease is positively correlated with the nature of pain. Laparotomy can show thickening, tortuosity, varicose veins or clustering of pelvic veins. It is most common in women aged 25 to 40, rarely in premenopause, and never in postmenopause.
