Hyperthyroid cardiomyopathy
The thyroid hormones secreted by the thyroid gland have varying degrees of influence on the metabolism and physiological activities of many organs in the body, among which the impact on the cardiovascular system is particularly prominent. In case of hyperthyroidism, the continuous increase of T3 and (or) T4 in the body can cause a series of complications on the cardiac conduction system and myocardial cells, thus leading to hyperthyroid cardiomyopathy.
