Iris pigmented nevus
Nevus of iris is a collection of abnormal pigment cells in the superficial stroma of the iris, which is relatively common in clinical practice. Nevus of iris is a type of hamartomatous lesion, a tumorous mass composed of melanocytes with benign cytological morphology. The cause is unknown, and most of them are congenital. It is more common in Caucasians than in people of color. Patients with neurofibromatosis often have multiple iris nevus.
