Rectal atresia
Absence of rectum and rectal atresia are congenital malformations of the rectum. Congenital anorectal malformations rank first among congenital digestive tract malformations. The incidence rate is roughly equal in males and females, with a slightly higher incidence rate in males. Among newborns, the incidence rate is 1:1500-1:5000.
