Lower extremity venous thrombosis
Phlebitis caused by thrombosis in the veins of the lower extremities is called thrombophlebitis, which is common in the superficial veins of the lower extremities. It may be caused by intravenous injection of drugs, or by complications of varicose veins of large and small saphenous veins, or by concomitant diseases of vasculitis, or as part of an autoimmune disease.
