Cervical hemivertebra deformity
This deformity is rare in the cervical spine and can be manifested as regular or irregular absence of 1/2 or 2/3 of the vertebra; the remaining part of the vertebra may be congenitally fused with the previous vertebra or the next vertebra. If the front 2/3 of the vertebra is missing, it can cause a wedge-shaped change, and the cervical spine will be convex. The wedge-shaped change of the half vertebra on one side can cause scoliosis deformity of the cervical spine.
