Epidural hematoma in children
Extradural hematoma is the accumulation of blood between the inner plate of the skull and the dura mater. It is caused by the large deformation of the skull under the action of external force, and the dural arteries and veins are peeled or torn during this process, resulting in extradural bleeding. When the hematoma reaches a certain volume, symptoms of increased intracranial pressure and/or brain compression appear.
