Leiomyosarcoma of the stomach remnant is a pathological type of stomach remnant cancer, which refers to the cancer that occurs in the stomach remnant several years after a subtotal gastrectomy due to benign or malignant gastric diseases. Most scholars believe that cancers that occur in the stomach remnant 5 years after surgery for benign gastric diseases and 10 years after surgery for malignant diseases are collectively referred to as stomach remnant cancer.
