Linear IgA bullous dermatosis
Linear IgA bullous dermatoses (LABD) or linear IgA dematosis are completely different from bullous herpes and dermatitis herpetiformis because of their linear IgA deposits in the basement membrane, no gluten-sensitive enteropathy, and only 30% HLA-B8 positivity. Chronic bullous disease of childhood is a rare disease that mainly occurs in children under 5 years old and has the same type of homogeneous linear IgA deposits in the basement membrane zone. Therefore, some people believe that the two are different manifestations of the same disease. Here, we classify the two diseases as one disease for discussion. Linear IgA bullous dermatoses mainly occur in young people, most of whom are around 40 years old, and women are slightly more than men, while linear bullous dermatosis of childhood is seen in children under 5 years old.
