Mucolipidosis type II
Mucolipidosis type II is also known as inclusion cell disease, or I-cell disease for short. Its clinical features are more like Hurler syndrome, with obvious clinical and X-ray abnormalities at birth, slow reaction, but no mucopolysacchariduria. Skin fibroblast culture has a large number of large cytoplasmic inclusion bodies. Leroy et al. (1967) first discovered this disease, and Spranger (1970) classified it as mucolipidosis type II.

Indication: 1. Typhoid and other Salmonella infections: It is the drug of choice for typhoid and paratyphoid caused by sensitive strains.
