Sebaceous cyst disease
Steatocystoma multiplex is more common. Most cases are autosomal dominant. Electron microscopic examination confirmed that the cyst wall is composed of keratinocytes, which are connected to each other by desmosomes. Sebaceous gland lobules can be seen in the cyst wall. It is multiple and has cystic nodules of varying sizes, ranging from a few millimeters to 20 mm or larger in diameter. Histopathology: The cyst wall is wrinkled and composed of several layers of epidermal cells. The diagnosis can be made based on clinical manifestations and histopathology. Generally, no treatment is required. Recurrence is common if the cyst wall is not removed.
