| Clarithromycin |
It is a 14-membered macrolide antibiotic that produces an antibacterial effect by hindering the association of the 50S subunit of the cell nucleoprotein and inhibiting protein synthesis. It has a slightly better antibacterial effect than erythromycin on Gram-positive bacteria such as Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, and Staphylococcus, and has certain antibacterial activity against induced erythromycin-resistant strains; it has enhanced antibacterial effect on influenza bacilli and their metabolites, has certain effects on gonococci, Listeria, and Campylobacter jejuni, and has stronger effects than erythromycin on Legionella pneumophila, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia trachomatis, and Ureaplasma urealyticum, with MIC90 of about 0.008-0.12 mg/L; it has certain activity against Borrelia burgdorferi, Mycobacterium avium, and Toxoplasma gondii, and most of them are better than other varieties; it has a stronger antibacterial effect on anaerobic cocci, and is better than erythromycin on Bacteroides fragilis; its antibiotic post-effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, and influenza bacilli is significantly stronger than erythromycin; its antibacterial activity in vitro is similar to that of erythromycin, but its antibacterial activity in vivo against some bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, and Haemophilus influenzae is stronger than erythromycin. There is cross-resistance between it and erythromycin.

| Cephalexin |
Cephalexin is a first-generation cephalosporin. It is sensitive to most strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae, hemolytic Streptococcus, and penicillinase-producing or non-producing Staphylococci. It has a good antibacterial effect on Neisseria and a certain antibacterial effect on some Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella and Shigella.
