Rifampicin is a semi-synthetic broad-spectrum antibacterial drug of the rifamycin class, which has antibacterial activity against a variety of pathogenic microorganisms. The drug has a significant bactericidal effect on Mycobacterium tuberculosis and some non-tuberculous mycobacteria (including Mycobacterium leprae, etc.) both inside and outside the host cells. Rifampicin has a good antibacterial effect on aerobic Gram-positive bacteria, including enzyme-producing strains of Staphylococcus aureus and methicillin-resistant strains, Streptococcus pneumoniae, other Streptococcus, Enterococcus, Listeria, Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium perfringens, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, anaerobic cocci, etc. It also has a high degree of antibacterial activity against aerobic Gram-negative bacteria such as Neisseria meningitidis, Haemophilus influenzae, and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Rifampicin also has a good effect on Legionella, and has an inhibitory effect on pathogens such as Chlamydia trachomatis, lymphogranuloma venereum, and psittacosis.

This product is a mucus regulator, which mainly acts on the secretion of bronchial glands, increasing the secretion of low-viscosity salivary mucin and reducing the production of high-viscosity fucoxomucin, thereby reducing the viscosity of sputum and making it easier to cough up. It takes effect quickly after oral administration, and obvious therapeutic effects can be seen within 4 hours of taking it.

Phenothiazine antipsychotics block dopamine receptors (DA2) in the mesolimbic system and mesocortical pathways, and have blocking effects on dopamine (DA1) receptors, 5-hydroxytryptamine receptors, M-type acetylcholine receptors, and α-adrenaline receptors; at low doses, they can inhibit dopamine receptors in the medulla oblongata emetic chemoreceptor area, and at high doses, they can directly inhibit the vomiting center to produce an antiemetic effect; they can inhibit the body temperature regulation center to lower body temperature; they can block peripheral α-adrenaline receptors to cause vasodilation and a drop in blood pressure; and they have a certain effect on the endocrine system.
