The tangerine peel, dried tangerine peel, bitter almond, trichosanthes peel, pinellia, aster, platycodon, rhizoma anemarrhenae, coltsfoot and other ingredients in this preparation all have antitussive and expectorant effects. Studies on tangerine peel have confirmed that the polysaccharides contained in tangerine peel have a significant antitussive effect on mice with ammonia-induced cough. The phenol red method test on mice also proves that tangerine peel polysaccharides have a strong expectorant effect.

| 1-Benzhydryl-4-(3-phenyl-ethyl-propenyl)-piperazine |
This product is a piperazine calcium channel antagonist, which can block calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle, causing vasodilation and improving cerebral and coronary circulation, especially having a certain selective effect on cerebral blood vessels. This product can inhibit phosphodiesterase, prevent cAMP from decomposing into inactive 5-AMP, thereby increasing the concentration of cAMP in cells, inhibiting the release of various biologically active substances such as histamine, 5-hydroxytryptamine, bradykinin, and also inhibiting the activation of complement C4. The lethal dose for humans is 100-500 mg/kg, and the LD50 (oral administration to mice and rats) is greater than 1g/kg.
