This product is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. It has good antibacterial effects on various Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, and has good antibacterial effects on various Enterobacteriaceae such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Salmonella, Shigella, Enterobacter, Serratia and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Neisseria and Haemophilus influenzae are moderately sensitive to this product. It also has a certain effect on Brucella, Yersinia pestis, Acinetobacter and Campylobacter fetus. It has a good antibacterial effect on about 80% of methicillin-sensitive strains of Staphylococcus (including Staphylococcus aureus and coagulase-negative Staphylococcus), but methicillin-resistant strains are mostly resistant to this product. It has a poor effect on Streptococcus and Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Enterococcus is mostly resistant to this product. When this product is used in combination with beta-lactams, most of them can obtain synergistic antibacterial effects. The mechanism of action of this product is to bind to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome and inhibit the synthesis of bacterial proteins. In recent years, the number of Gram-negative bacteria resistant to gentamicin has increased significantly.

Polyene antifungal drugs have a broad-spectrum antifungal effect and high antibacterial activity against Candida species. Cryptococcus neoformans, Aspergillus, Mucor, Microsporum, Histoplasma capsulatum, Blastomyces dermatitidis and dermatophytes are also usually sensitive to this product. This product can combine with sterols on the fungal cell membrane, causing changes in cell membrane permeability, resulting in the leakage of important cell contents and exerting antifungal effects.

It has the effect of improving the viscoelasticity of blood rheology, and its anticoagulant effect is equivalent to 1/3 to 1/2 of heparin. It prevents platelet adhesion to collagen and inhibits platelet aggregation. It has prostaglandin (PGI2)-like effects such as anti-thrombosis, lowering blood viscosity, micro-arteriovenous spasm, and red blood cell and platelet depolymerization. It can significantly lower blood lipids, cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), increase high-density lipoprotein (HDL), inhibit the occurrence and development of atherosclerotic lesions, dilate peripheral blood vessels, improve microcirculation, inhibit the formation of arteriovenous thrombi, and has multiple functions such as lowering blood sugar and blood pressure.

This product belongs to the macrolide antibiotics. It has antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus (except methicillin-resistant strains), all groups of streptococci and Gram-positive bacilli. Neisseria, Haemophilus influenzae, Bordetella pertussis, etc. are also sensitive to this product. This product also has antibacterial effects on various anaerobic bacteria except Bacteroides fragilis and Fusobacterium. It also has inhibitory effects on Legionella, Campylobacter fetus, certain spirochetes, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Rickettsia and Chlamydia. This product is an antibacterial agent, but it also has a bactericidal effect on certain bacteria at high concentrations. It can penetrate the bacterial cell membrane and reversibly bind to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome near the donor site ("P" site), blocking the transfer RNA (t-RNA) from binding to the "P" site, and also blocking the self-acceptor site ("A" site) of the polypeptide chain.
