Phthalide cream

This product is an antiviral drug. It has anti-Chlamydia trachomatis and anti-herpes virus activity. Its mechanism of action is mainly to inhibit viral DNA and early protein synthesis. Phthalidine cannot directly inhibit herpes virus type II DNA polymerase, nor can it directly inactivate herpes virus. This product has a certain antifungal effect on dermatophytes.

Each gram of this product contains 0.03 grams of the main ingredient, phthalamide. The auxiliary materials are liquid paraffin, glycerol, octadecyl alcohol, stearic acid, white vaseline, glyceryl monostearate, preservatives, and polysorbate 80.

This product is a yellow ointment with an emulsion base.

It can be used for herpes simplex and herpes zoster, and can also be used for superficial fungal infections such as tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea manuum and pedis.

For external use, apply to the affected area, 2-3 times a day.

In a few cases, there are local itching and irritation reactions, such as skin erythema, papules and itching.

Patients allergic to phthalate are contraindicated.

Precautions for children: There is a lack of data on the use of the drug in children. It is generally not used for infants and young children. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant women are prohibited. There is a lack of data on the use of the drug in lactating women, so it is not suitable for use. Precautions for the elderly: There is no experience with the use of the drug in the elderly. Please refer to the adult dosage or follow the doctor's advice.
