Function and Efficacy
This product is a second-generation sulfonylurea hypoglycemic drug with a strong effect. Its mechanism is to selectively act on pancreatic β cells, promote insulin secretion, and increase the level of glucose after eating glucose, so that the production and output of glycogen are inhibited. Animal experiments and clinical use have shown that this product can reduce platelet aggregation and adhesion, and help prevent and treat diabetic microangiopathy.

Indication
Non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (type 2)
Usage and Dosage
It should be taken under the guidance of a physician, with an initial oral dose of 40-80 mg, 1-2 times a day, and then adjusted to 80-240 mg a day, divided into 2-3 doses, based on blood and urine sugar levels. After blood and urine sugar levels are controlled, the daily maintenance dose can be changed. Elderly patients should reduce the dose as appropriate.
Adverse Reactions
Occasionally, there may be mild nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, erythema, urticaria, thrombocytopenia, granulocytopenia, anemia, etc. Most of them disappear after stopping the drug.
Precautions
1. Use with caution in pregnant and lactating women; 2. Contraindicated in patients with severe liver or kidney failure.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Not clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution in pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Reduce the dosage appropriately.
Drug Interactions
When used in combination with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (especially salicylates), sulfonamide antibiotics, coumarin anticoagulants, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, beta-receptor blockers, benzodiazepines, tetracycline, chloramphenicol, dicyclohexine, clofibrate, ethanol and other drugs, the dosage should be reduced to avoid hypoglycemia.
