Function and Efficacy
It can stimulate the carotid sinus and aortic body chemoreceptors (both are N2 receptors), reflexively excite the respiratory center and speed up breathing, but it has no direct excitation effect on the respiratory center. This product is a colorless or almost colorless clear liquid.
Indication
This product is mainly used for central respiratory depression caused by various reasons. It is commonly used clinically for neonatal asphyxia, carbon monoxide, opioid poisoning, etc.
Usage and Dosage
1Usual intravenous injection dosage: 3 mg for adults; maximum dosage: 6 mg for one time, 20 mg a day. For children, 0.3-3 mg for one time, which can be repeated every 30 minutes if necessary; 3 mg can be injected into the umbilical vein in case of neonatal asphyxia. 2Usual subcutaneous or intramuscular injection dosage: 10 mg for adults; maximum dosage: 20 mg for one time, 50 mg a day. For children, 1-3 mg for one time.
