Lafutidine is an H2 receptor blocker. It can sustainably inhibit gastric acid secretion and act on the capsaicin-sensitive afferent neurons in the gastric mucosa to protect the gastric mucosa, promote mucosal repair, increase gastric mucosal blood flow, and increase gastric mucus secretion.

Appearance

This product is white or off-white suspension granules with aromatic odor and sweet taste.

Indication

Used for gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer.

Usage and Dosage

For adults, take orally, 10 mg (1 bag) at a time, twice a day. Take after meals or before bedtime.

Adverse Reactions

1. Liver function damage: Liver function damage and jaundice symptoms accompanied by elevated ASTGOT, ALTGPT, r-GTP, etc. may occur. Therefore, close observation is required. Once the above abnormalities occur, the drug should be discontinued immediately and corresponding treatment should be given. 2. Granulocytopenia and thrombocytopenia: Early symptoms of granulocytopenia may occur: sore throat, general fatigue, fever, etc. and thrombocytopenia.

Precautions

This product is contraindicated for use by persons known to be allergic to this product or its ingredients.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Safety for children has not been established, and there is no experience of use. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: For pregnant or suspected pregnant women, unless it is judged that the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks to the fetus, pregnant women should not take this drug. Safety related to administration during pregnancy has not been established. For lactating women, lactation should be stopped during administration. Animal experiments have found that lafutidine exists in breast milk. Precautions for the elderly: Generally, the physiological functions of the elderly are reduced, so it is necessary to pay attention to the dosage and dosing interval, and administer the drug carefully under close observation.

Drug Interactions

Other H2 receptor blockers can bind to cytochrome P450, thereby reducing the activity of liver microsomal drug-metabolizing enzymes. Therefore, caution should be exercised when this product is used in combination with warfarin, phenytoin sodium, theophylline, phenobarbital, diazepam or propranolol and cimetidine.
