Human serum albumin
Function and Efficacy
1. Increase blood volume and maintain plasma colloidal osmotic pressure: Albumin accounts for 80% of plasma colloidal osmotic pressure, and mainly regulates the dynamic balance of water between tissues and blood vessels. Due to the high molecular weight of albumin, compared with salts and water, the speed of permeation through the membrane is slower, so that the colloidal osmotic pressure of albumin counteracts the static pressure of the capillary, thereby maintaining normal and constant blood volume; at the same time, in the blood circulation, 1g albumin can retain 18ml of water, and the ability of 5g albumin to retain water in the circulation is approximately equivalent to the function of 100ml plasma or 200ml whole blood, thereby increasing the circulating blood volume and maintaining the colloidal osmotic pressure of plasma. 2. Transport and detoxification: Albumin can bind anions and cations, can transport different substances, and can also transport toxic substances to detoxification organs. 3. Nutritional supply: Tissue protein and plasma protein can be converted into each other. When nitrogen metabolism is impaired, albumin can be used as a nitrogen source to provide nutrition for tissues.

Appearance
This product is a yellow or green to brown slightly viscous clear liquid; there should be no foreign matter, turbidity or precipitation.
Indication
1. Shock caused by blood loss, trauma, and burns. 2. Increased intracranial pressure caused by cerebral edema and injury. 3. Edema or ascites caused by cirrhosis and kidney disease. 4. Prevention and treatment of hypoproteinemia. 5. Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. 6. Used in cardiopulmonary bypass, auxiliary treatment of burns, auxiliary treatment of hemodialysis, and adult respiratory distress syndrome.
Usage and Dosage
Usage: Generally, intravenous drip or intravenous push is used. In order to prevent dehydration of body tissues during large-scale injection, 5% glucose injection or sodium chloride injection can be appropriately diluted for intravenous drip (it is advisable to use a blood transfusion device equipped with a filter device). The drip rate should not exceed 2 ml per minute, but in the first 15 minutes, special attention should be paid to slow speed and gradually accelerate to the above speed. Dosage: The dosage is determined by the physician at his discretion. Generally, for shock caused by severe burns or blood loss, 5-10g of this product can be directly injected, and the injection can be repeated once every 4-6 hours. In the treatment of chronic albumin deficiency such as kidney disease and liver cirrhosis, 5-10g of this product can be injected daily until edema disappears and serum albumin content returns to normal.
Adverse Reactions
The use of this product generally does not produce adverse reactions, but symptoms such as chills, fever, facial flushing, rash, nausea and vomiting may occasionally occur. Rapid infusion can cause vascular overload and lead to pulmonary edema, and occasionally allergic reactions.
Precautions
1. Those who are severely allergic to albumin. 2. Patients with hypertension, acute heart disease, normal blood volume and hypervolemic heart failure. 3. Patients with severe anemia. 4. Patients with renal insufficiency.
Drug Interactions
This product should not be mixed with vasoconstrictors, proteolytic enzymes or injections containing alcoholic solvents.
Storage
Store in a dark place at 2-8℃. Valid for 5 years.
