Vitamin A maintains the normal functions of epithelial tissues such as the skin, conjunctiva, and cornea, increases retinal sensitivity, and participates in many oxidation processes in the body, especially the oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids. Vitamin E is an antioxidant and participates in some metabolic reactions in the body. It can fight against the peroxidation of free radicals, protect the skin, enhance ovarian function, and prevent habitual abortion.

Each pill of this product contains 5000 units of vitamin A and 20 mg of vitamin E.

This product is a capsule containing yellow or dark yellow transparent oily liquid.

It is used to prevent and treat keratomalacia, dry eyes, night blindness, and rough and keratinized skin caused by vitamin A and E deficiency; it is also used as an auxiliary treatment for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, habitual abortion, and infertility.

Oral administration: 1 pill at a time, once a day.

Precautions for children: 1. Infants and young children are more sensitive to large or excessive amounts of vitamin A and should be used with caution. 2. The need for vitamin A increases slightly during pregnancy, but it should not exceed 6,000 units per day. It has been reported that pregnant women who take a large amount of vitamin A may cause fetal malformations, such as urinary tract malformations, growth retardation, and early epiphyseal healing. 2. Vitamin A can be secreted from breast milk. When the intake of breastfeeding mothers increases, attention should be paid to the amount of vitamin A that infants take from breast milk. 3. Pregnant women should not take more than 1 pill a day. 4. Those who have excessive intake of vitamin A and may be complicated by early pregnancy should undergo a pregnancy test and measure the vitamin A content in the blood. 5. Contraception should be used during the period of excessive vitamin A. 6. Pregnant women who have excessive intake of vitamin A should be consulted on the risk of fetal malformation. 7. When pregnant women consume a normal diet, no definite vitamin E deficiency has been found. Vitamin E can partially cross the placenta and the fetus. Note for the elderly: Long-term use of vitamin A by the elderly may cause vitamin A overdose due to delayed clearance of retinal aldehyde.

Sucralfate, aluminum hydroxide, neomycin, and cholestyramine can affect the absorption of vitamins A and E. Oral contraceptives may increase the concentration of plasma vitamin A and accelerate the metabolism of vitamin E. Avoid using this product with dicoumarol and its derivatives to prevent the vitamin E in them from interacting with them and causing hypoprothrombinemia.
