Tobramycin eye drops

Function and Efficacy

1. In vitro experiments show that tobramycin has special effects on the following bacteria: Staphylococci: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis and penicillin-resistant bacteria. Streptococci: Group A hemolytic streptococci, non-hemolytic streptococci and Streptococcus pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis (indole-negative) and indole-positive Proteus, Haemophilus influenzae and Haemophilus conjunctivitis, Moraxella conjunctivitis, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus (Herelle avaginacola), Neisseria. 2. Bacterial sensitivity experiments show that bacteria resistant to gentamicin are still sensitive to tobramycin. No bacteria resistant to tobramycin have been found so far, but long-term use may produce bacterial resistance.
