This product is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fungal cell membranes and affect their metabolic processes. It has antibacterial effects on dermatophytes, Candida, etc., and also has a certain effect on some Gram-positive cocci.

Ingredients

This product contains 0.02 grams of miconazole nitrate per gram. The excipients are: glyceryl monostearate, stearic acid, triethanolamine, octadecyl alcohol, glycerin, ethylparaben, white vaseline, liquid paraffin, and purified water.

Indication

1. Skin and nail infections caused by dermatophytes, yeasts and other fungi, such as tinea corporis, tinea pedis, tinea versicolor, tinea capitis, tinea barbae, tinea unguium; skin, nail candidiasis, angular cheilitis, and external otitis. Since this product has antibacterial effects on Gram-positive bacteria, it can be used for secondary infections caused by such bacteria. 2. Vaginal infections and secondary infections caused by yeasts (such as Candida albicans) and Gram-positive bacteria.

Usage and Dosage

1. For external use on skin infections, apply to the cleaned affected area once in the morning and evening. After the symptoms disappear (usually 2 to 5 weeks), continue to use the medicine for 10 days to prevent recurrence. 2. For nail infection, try to cut the affected nail as much as possible, apply this product to the affected area, once a day, and continue to use the medicine until the new nail begins to grow after the affected nail loosens (about 2 to 3 weeks). It usually takes about 7 months to see the effect. 3. For candidal vaginitis, use an applicator to squeeze the ointment (about 5 grams) into the deep vagina before going to bed every day, and must be used continuously for 2 weeks. The medicine can also be used during menstruation. It is still effective after the second recurrence.

Adverse Reactions

Allergy, blistering, burning, redness, itching or other skin irritation symptoms may occur occasionally. Angioedema, urticaria, eczema, contact dermatitis, erythema, pelvic pain (cramps), vaginal irritation, vaginal discharge and administration site discomfort may occur very rarely.

Precautions

Patients with known hypersensitivity to miconazole nitrate or other ingredients of this product are contraindicated.

Special Population Medication

Precautions during pregnancy and lactation: 1. Precautions during pregnancy and lactation Animal tests have shown that miconazole is toxic to the fetus, so pregnant women are prohibited from using this product. 2. It is not clear whether this product will be secreted into breast milk, so it is not recommended for lactating women to use this product.

Drug Interactions

1. If used with other drugs at the same time, drug interactions may occur. Please consult your physician or pharmacist for details. 2. Systemic formulations of miconazole nitrate are known to inhibit CYP3A4/2C9. Given the limited systemic absorption of this product after local administration, clinically significant drug interactions are very rare. Patients taking oral anticoagulants (such as warfarin) should use it with caution and monitor the anticoagulant effect. 3. Miconazole drugs should be used with caution when taken at the same time as other drugs such as oral hypoglycemic drugs or phenytoin. They can increase the effects and side effects of other drugs. 4. Because the ingredients of this product can damage latex products such as contraceptive diaphragms and condoms, this product should be avoided from contact with such products.
