Nitrogen mustard hydrochloride injection

Doses exceeding 0.6 mg/kg body weight may result in central nervous system toxicity, severe bone marrow suppression, and cardiac toxicity.

The main ingredients and chemical name of this product are: N-methyl-N-(2-chloroethyl)-2-chloroethylamine hydrochloride. Molecular formula: C5H11Cl2NHCl Molecular weight: 192.52

It is mainly used for the treatment of malignant lymphoma, especially Hodgkin's disease. Intracavitary administration has a good effect on controlling cancerous pleural, pericardial and abdominal effusions.

Intravenous injection: 4-6 mg/m2 (or 0.1 mg/kg) each time, add 10 ml of normal saline and flush it from a small infusion pot or leather tube, and flush the blood vessels with normal saline or 5% glucose solution, once a week, use it twice in a row, rest for 1-2 weeks and repeat. Intracavitary administration: 5-10 mg each time, dilute with 20-40 ml of normal saline, and inject it immediately after the fluid is drawn, once a week, and can be repeated as needed. Local skin application: newly prepared 5 mg each time, add 50 ml of normal saline, 1-2 times a day, mainly used for skin mycosis fungoides.

Bone marrow suppression: mainly manifested as leukopenia and thrombocytopenia, which can lead to pancytopenia in severe cases. The lowest value of leukocytopenia is on the 7th to 10th day after injection of this product, and it can be restored after 1 to 2 weeks of discontinuation of the drug. Gastrointestinal reactions: nausea and vomiting often occur 3 to 6 hours after injection and can last for 24 hours. Effects on reproductive function: including testicular atrophy, sperm reduction, reduced sperm motility and infertility, and menstrual disorders and amenorrhea in women. Other reactions include hair loss, fatigue, dizziness, and ulcers when injected outside a blood vessel. Local application can produce delayed skin allergic reactions. Conventional doses of nitrogen mustard have no significant effect on liver and kidney function.

Patients with bone marrow suppression, infection, tumor cell invasion of bone marrow, or who have received multiple courses of chemotherapy or radiotherapy should use this product with caution. Patients who are allergic to this product are prohibited from using this product.
