Appearance
This product is a round, pink tablet.
Indication
Used to treat schizophrenia.
Usage and Dosage
The drug is administered twice daily, either before or after meals. The total daily dose for adults during the first 4 days of treatment is 50 mg (first day), 100 mg (second day), 200 mg (third day) and 300 mg (fourth day). After the fourth day, the dose is gradually increased to the effective dose range, generally 300-450 mg/day. The dose can be adjusted between 150-750 mg/day according to the patient's clinical response and tolerance.

Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: The safety and efficacy of this product for children and adolescents have not been evaluated. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: The efficacy and safety of this product for human pregnancy have not been confirmed (for reproductive toxicity data on animals, see the reproductive studies section of the preclinical case data section). Therefore, "Seroquel" can only be used in pregnant patients when the benefits outweigh the potential risks. The excretion of quetiapine in human milk is not yet clear. If a lactating woman takes quetiapine, she should be advised to discontinue breastfeeding during the medication. Precautions for the elderly: Like other antipsychotic drugs, it should be used with caution in the elderly, especially when starting the medication. The starting dose for the elderly should be 25 mg/day. Increase the dose daily by 25-50 mg until the effective dose is reached. The effective dose may be lower than that of an average young patient.
Drug Interactions
Because quetiapine has primarily CNS effects, caution should be exercised when used in combination with other centrally acting drugs or alcohol.
