1. Phentolamine mesylate is a short-acting non-selective a-receptor (a1, a2) blocker that can antagonize the effects of adrenaline and norepinephrine in the blood circulation, causing vasodilation and reducing peripheral vascular resistance; 2. It antagonizes the effects of catecholamines and is used to diagnose and treat pheochromocytoma, but has little effect on the blood pressure of normal people or patients with essential hypertension; 3. It can reduce peripheral vascular resistance, reduce cardiac afterload, reduce left ventricular end-diastolic pressure and pulmonary artery pressure, and increase cardiac output, and can be used to treat heart failure. Carcinogenic, mutagenic and reproductive toxicity. 4. Long-term experiments have shown that phentolamine mesylate has no obvious carcinogenic, mutagenic and reproductive toxicity. In experiments on rats, mice and rabbits, no teratogenic or embryogenic effects of phentolamine mesylate were found.

Oral administration, 40 mg (1 tablet) each time, taken 30 minutes before sexual intercourse, no more than once a day. The dose can be adjusted to 60 mg (1.5 tablets) according to needs and tolerance. The maximum recommended dose is 80 mg (2 tablets).

Common adverse reactions include nasal congestion, palpitations, flushing, dizziness, fatigue, chest tightness, etc. A small number of patients may have mild changes in heart rate, systolic blood pressure, and diastolic blood pressure. Very few patients may have orthostatic hypotension.

It is contraindicated for patients with hypotension (systolic blood pressure less than 90 mmHg, diastolic blood pressure less than 60 mmHg), severe arteriosclerosis, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, liver and kidney dysfunction, gastric ulcer, and those who are allergic to this product.

1. When this product is used in combination with guanethidine, the incidence of postural hypotension or bradycardia increases. 2. Phenobarbital, glutethimide and other sedative hypnotics, reserpine, jiangyaling and other antihypertensive drugs can enhance the antihypertensive effect of this drug. 3. When used in combination with cardiac glycosides, its toxic reaction can be enhanced. 4. Avoid using it in combination with iron preparations. 5. Do not use it in combination with nitroglycerin drugs.
