Chaihuang Tablets

Bupleurum has the functions of calming and relieving fever, soothing muscles and relieving exterior symptoms, and raising Yang Qi; Scutellaria has the functions of clearing away heat and dampness, purging fire and detoxifying, stopping bleeding and calming the fetus. The combination of Scutellaria and Bupleurum is an effective empirical prescription commonly used by traditional Chinese medicine to treat various types of colds, early stages of infectious diseases and various inflammations. It has good effects on colds and fevers, general discomfort, dry mouth and tongue, sore throat, fetal heat and restlessness, damp-heat diarrhea, short and dark urine, heart heat and insomnia, etc.
