Appearance
This product is a colorless or slightly yellow clear liquid.
Indication
1. Used for schizophrenia and mania. 2. This product has a neuroleptic effect and enhances the analgesic effect of analgesics. When combined with fentanyl for intravenous injection, it can produce a special anesthesia state in patients, called neuroleptic analgesia, which is used for dressing changes for large-area burns and various endoscopic examinations.
Usage and Dosage
For the control of agitation in acute psychosis: 5-10 mg per day by intramuscular injection. For neurosedation and analgesia: 5 mg is added with 0.1 mg of fentanyl citrate and slowly injected intravenously within 2-3 minutes.
Adverse Reactions
1 Extrapyramidal reactions are more severe and common. Acute dystonia is more likely to occur in children and adolescents, with obvious torsion spasms, dysphagia, akathisia and Parkinson's disease. 2 Dry mouth, blurred vision, fatigue, constipation, sweating, etc. may occur. 3 It may cause an increase in the concentration of prolactin in plasma. Possible related symptoms include: galactorrhea, gynecomastia, menstrual disorders, and amenorrhea. 4 A small number of patients may experience depressive reactions. 5 It may cause local redness, swelling, pain, and nodules at the injection site. 6 Rarely causes hypotension. 7 Allergic rashes and malignant syndrome are occasionally seen.
Precautions
Patients with basal ganglia lesions, Parkinson's disease, Parkinson's syndrome, severe central nervous system depression, depression and allergic to this product.
Drug Interactions
1. When this product is used in combination with ethanol or other central nervous system depressants, the central nervous system depressant effect is enhanced. 2. When this product is used in combination with antihypertensive drugs, it is easy to cause postural hypotension.
