Function and Efficacy
Chondroitin sulfate is widely present in human and animal cartilage tissue. Its medicinal preparations mainly contain two isomers, chondroitin sulfate A and chondroitin sulfate C. The content of chondroitin sulfate in the cartilage of animals of different species and ages is different. Its pharmacological effects are as follows: 1. Chondroitin sulfate can remove lipids and lipoproteins in the blood, remove cholesterol in the blood vessels around the heart, prevent and treat atherosclerosis, and increase the conversion rate of lipids and fatty acids in cells. 2. Chondroitin sulfate can effectively prevent and treat coronary heart disease. It has anti-atherosclerotic and anti-atherogenic plaque formation effects on experimental arteriosclerosis models; it increases the coronary artery branching or collateral circulation of atherosclerosis, and can accelerate the healing, regeneration and repair of myocardial necrosis or degeneration caused by experimental coronary artery sclerosis or embolism. 3. It can increase the biosynthesis of messenger RNA (mRNA) and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) of cells and has the effect of promoting cell metabolism. 4. Low anticoagulant activity. Chondroitin sulfate has a mild anticoagulant effect. Each 1 mg of chondroitin sulfate A is equivalent to the anticoagulant activity of 0.45 U of heparin. This anticoagulant activity does not depend on antithrombin III to work, and it can play an anticoagulant activity through the fibrinogen system. 5. Chondroitin sulfate also has anti-inflammatory, accelerated wound healing and anti-tumor effects.
Ingredients
It is an acidic mucopolysaccharide extracted from the cartilage tissue of the pig's larynx, nasal bone, trachea, etc. The hexose amino content of this product is calculated as glucosamine (C6H13O5N), which shall not be less than 24.0% of the labeled amount of chondroitin sulfate.

Indication
Lipid-lowering drug. Mainly used to treat hyperlipidemia. Its clinical applications include: 1.
