Function and Efficacy

This product is an organic iodide, an auxiliary therapeutic drug that promotes the absorption of pathological turbidity. It is absorbed slowly after injection, and most of it exists in adipose tissue and nerve tissue. It gradually decomposes into free iodine in the body and distributes throughout the body. Appearance

This product is white or off-white loose mass or powder.

Indication

It is used for late-stage granulomatous or non-granulomatous iridocyclitis, retinal choroiditis, fundus hemorrhage, vitreous opacities, semi-old corneal leukoplakia, and leukoma. It can also be used as an adjuvant treatment for optic neuritis.

Usage and Dosage

1. 0.1~0.2g per subconjunctival injection, once every 2~3 days, 5~7 times as a course of treatment. 2. 0.4g per intramuscular injection, once a day or every other day, 10 times as a course of treatment, 7~14 days between each course of treatment, generally 2~3 courses of treatment.

Adverse Reactions

Long-term use may occasionally cause mild iodine poisoning symptoms, such as nausea, itching, skin rash, etc. When symptoms occur, stop using the product or use it less frequently.

Precautions

1. Those who are allergic to iodine are contraindicated. 2. Those with severe liver and kidney dysfunction, active pulmonary tuberculosis, and occult bleeding from gastrointestinal ulcers are contraindicated. 3. Those with thyroid enlargement and a family history of hyperthyroidism should use with caution.
