Clotrimazole vaginal tablets

This product is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug with good antibacterial effect on many fungi, especially Candida albicans. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fungal cell membranes and affect their metabolic process.

Each tablet contains 0.5g of clotrimazole, the main ingredient. The auxiliary ingredients are lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, calcium lactate, hypromellose, lactic acid, micro-powder silica gel, cross-linked polyvinylpyrrolidone, and magnesium stearate.

Clotrimazole vaginal tablets are white or off-white tablets.

Used for candidal vulvovaginitis and infectious leucorrhea caused by yeast.

Insert into the vagina, 1 piece every night, placed deep in the vagina, one course of treatment is 10 days.

Local irritation, itching or burning may occur occasionally. In some cases, there may be exaggerated allergic reactions of varying degrees, which may affect the skin (such as itching, erythema), respiratory system (such as shortness of breath), cardiovascular system (such as blood pressure drop requiring treatment or transient sensory impairment) or gastrointestinal reactions (such as nausea, diarrhea).

Patients who are allergic to clotrimazole vaginal tablets or other imidazole drugs are contraindicated.

Precautions for children: Girls under 18 years of age should avoid using it as much as possible, and should use it under the guidance of a doctor when necessary. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: 1. This product was given vaginally in the last 3 months of pregnancy, and no adverse effects on the fetus were found. However, in studies on mice and rats, oral administration of clotrimazole at 50-120 mg/kg body weight showed embryotoxicity, so pregnant women should avoid using it as much as possible, and should use it under the guidance of a physician when necessary. 2. This product is slightly absorbed when used, but there is a lack of experimental data on whether it is secreted into breast milk, so lactating women should use it with caution. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly patients may have vaginal dryness that affects the efficacy of this product.
