Technetium [99mTc] Etifenin Injection
Function and Efficacy
After intravenous injection of 99mTc-EHIDA, it is rapidly taken up by liver parenchymal cells and excreted into the biliary system with bile. Therefore, it can be used for imaging of the hepatobiliary system, and has great diagnostic value for observation of extrahepatic bile duct obstruction, cholecystitis, cholangitis, bile duct atresia, bile duct cyst and post-operative observation of the biliary system. When bilirubin is 12mg/noml, the amount of this product entering the liver and the concentration in the bile are significantly reduced, and the biliary system is poorly developed. The LD50 is 1200mg/kg, which is about 2000 times the human dosage calculated by body weight.
Ingredients
The main ingredient of this product and its chemical name are: technetium [99mTc] labeled N-(2,6-diethylacetophenylamino)imidodiacetic acid.
Indication
It is used for imaging of the hepatobiliary system. It has great diagnostic value for judging liver clearance function, biliary patency, and differentiating hepatic and biliary jaundice, including extrahepatic bile duct obstruction, cholecystitis, cholangitis, bile duct atresia, bile duct cyst, and observation after biliary surgery.
Usage and Dosage
Fast for 2 to 4 hours before medication. For hepatobiliary imaging, if the bilirubin is normal, the intravenous dose is 1.11MBq (0.03mCi)/kg. If the bilirubin is abnormal, the dose can be increased to 7.4MBq (0.2mCi)/kg. Continuous dynamic imaging is performed with a gamma camera at 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 minutes after intravenous injection. In normal people, the gallbladder and intestines can be imaged within 60 minutes of injection. If the gallbladder and intestines are still non-radioactive after 60 minutes, delayed imaging is required after 2 to 18 hours.
Precautions
Pregnant and lactating women are prohibited from using this drug. Children should use this drug with caution.
